Da Bull Crap Site Update

Its official. This Bulls Blog will be straight Bulls history. Not that I won't talk about Derrick Rose and the current Bulls(I do love the current team) from time to time but I do have a passion for my childhood Bulls teams. So now I will post lots of vintage memorabilia, games, pictures, videos ect.

I think this also offers something a little different from the other Bulls blogs. At the top in the Nav I have added "Bulls games on Youtube". I will post full Chicago Bulls games I find on Youtube there, saves a lot of searching for you. I have added a ton of games today so check them out. Thanks to all the people who have uploaded those classics. Some are in parts so just follow on to part 2 and ect.

Hopefully this blog change can fuel the blog to become more popular for the fan who loves looking backwards. Hope you enjoy all the vintage Bulls crap I will post from here on out. Follow me on Twitter to keep up with blog posts.

I end with a picture of Michael Jordan who competed in the 1990 3-point shoot out(and did terrible) and one of my favorite Jordan commercials.

1993 NBA Finals Bulls vs Suns photos

My favorite finals ever. I was 11 and was living and breathing anything Bulls and Jordan. I remember being worried that the Bulls wouldn't make it to the finals since the Knicks had home court on them. The home court only mattered for 2 games in that series. My favorite Jordan shoe ever was also in 93. The Jordan VIII. Have a pair of the black ones I have never worn. I plan on watching all 6 games soon. Once I get around to that I will post some thoughts on the series. But for now here are some great pictures I found while surfing Google Images. Enjoy!

I still have this shirt

We also can't forget the closing credits to the finals. I really miss these credits. NBC's NBA Finals just seem to have more soul to them. Maybe it seems that way since I was a kid but ABC just feels generic.

90s NBA Jersey Gems and Johnny Kilroy

I have a warm place in my heart for 90s NBA gear and cards. Its just my childhood really. Its really to bad that almost all my Bulls things are packed away. I have some great vintage stuff from the 90s. I hope to post some of that stuff as I come across it. Once I finally buy a house next year I will for sure have a lot of it out and to share by then. Not everything I have is Bulls(but 90% of it is). Like this Suns shooting shirt. I almost sold it on Ebay but opted to keep it.

Never have been a suns fan but I always loved the stuff they came out with during the Barkley era. I really haven't liked the newest stuff. I miss Champion as the outfitter for the NBA. Teams would all have different designs. Now Adidas just uses the same template for all the teams and they add stripes to everything. My buddy Ryan(yeah same name) showed off his Barkley champion jersey and Nick the quick the other day
Like I said the Barkley Suns era was awesome color and design wise. I really liked the black Suns jerseys that came along in 94-95. I also like the Lakers jerseys better too. There not bad now but I like these better. Plus obscure champion jerseys are always great. How many Van Exel jerseys do ever see? None.

I also came across my 1994 Upper Deck Johnny Kilroy card. I used to think this was the best card ever. Maybe it helped me cope with Jordan's first retirement. The card itself is worthless. But it was a funny ad that Nike ran with Jordan being gone. They cut the ad short for whatever reason and it never really went anywhere.

If you are to young to remember the ad then here is the youtube. The Bulls could use a Johnny Kilroy now to help with Derrick being out... and when he gets back.

I hope to share more of my old NBA and Bulls crap as I come across it. I can never get enough of living in the past. Oh yeah the Bulls drafted the other Teague brother today. So there is that.

He can't guard me

Wilkins the "Jordan Stopper"

1-900-Call Will

Long time no see. The new child I had last year has kept me from watching every second of every Bulls game. It also makes blogging hard since he demands all my attention. Anyway I was lucky enough to find a dude who has almost every Bulls game ever on DVD. I bought the 1992 Bulls-Knicks series and found this Gem in game 3.

Roses Baby

Derrick Rose is the MVP. It was really no surprise. I mean the dude took a team which many thought would finish behind The Magic(LOL) and gave them the best record in the NBA. Thats something you don't see often in the NBA. Surprises are far and few in the league. Its easy to say the Bulls and Derrick surprised the NBA and took it by storm.

You gotta love how Derrick is a real dude. Like the idiots I hang out with. He doesn't drag along leeches that suck on his wallet. He cares for his family and by looking at him you wouldn't know he was well off. He plays for the People and not him self. His team loves him and we love how he plays. Way to go Derrick.

More DRose Youtubes love.

Bullsosphere

Bullsosphere is just me going around the other Bulls blogs/sites and linking stuff I find good, bad or interesting. Will do this once or twice a week depending on content thats out there.

Sam Smith talks about the James Johnson trade.

The trade gives the Bulls two 2011 first round picks, theirs and Miami’s, and they still hold the potential 2012 or later first round pick from the Charlotte Bobcats for Tyrus Thomas.

Thus, the Bulls are in better position to potentially make a trade before Thursday’s NBA trading deadline for a shooting guard, though nothing is close and the odds seem to remain against a deal from indications at this point.

I found this part sorta of interesting...

There is no guarantee Prince, on the final year of his contract, will be offered a buyout or even that he will seek one. But should he, the Bulls would be in ideal position to make up to him the money he gives up to get out of his contract. And it might benefit the Pistons during a sale situation to be able to save millions of dollars on the contract, though Prince is just an example. Among the players most rumored for buyouts are, New Jersey’s Troy Murphy, Indiana’s T.J. Ford, the Clippers’ Rasual Butler and Cleveland’s Anthony Parker.

Is Sam just talking out of his ass? I guess I was clueless that Prince could be bought out. If something that magical happened than the Bulls could get Prince for cheap and force him to play the 2 which may not be ideal for the long haul. I thought the word on the street was Prince would not be traded. I haven't heard any talk of a buy out.

By the Horns talks about Derrick Roses "Ho-Hum" approach to the All Star game and I agree.

But we all know the All-Star Game is a glorified exhibition where the only things on the line are bragging rights and reputation. But Rose cares not for these things. He wants to win. And the Bulls are his top priority.

So if he seemed to be going at half-speed during the Skills Competition, or if he was mostly a highly skilled spectator during much of his 30 minutes of action last night, I’m willing to forgive him.

Save it for the second half of the season, Derrick.

Derrick did seem like it wasn't his cup of tea. The All Star thing just isn't him. You won't catch him at the slam dunk contest with hand held camera hamming it up and throwing himself on the ground after Blake Griffen dunks over an elephant.

Blog a Bull goes over the James Johnson trade and what it means for our Shooting Guard hunt.
Bulls Confidential talks about Noah's impact and how it will be on the offensive end. And in non Bulls news DaBullz.com talks about the NBA and NFL doing a better job in providing it's product to viewers. Which I 100% agree with. Being in Michigan, it makes it near impossible to watch all the Bulls games(think how bad it was before we got good). I dont wanna drop $200 for a service that blacks out games on NBA TV,TNT,ESPN ect. I don't get NBA TV.
However, the problem with the NBA’s streaming service is that they choose to blackout NBA TV games. I can’t turn on my TV and watch these games, and I can’t get the channel through my cable provider, as they don’t provide it. So when a Bulls game ends up on NBA TV, I end up watching the game on ATDHE, as it’s my only way to watch the game.

It’s not that I’m trying to steal the NBA’s content, it’s just that I want to watch my team play, and the NBA doesn’t provide me a way to do that, while ATDHE does. I think the fact that I subscribe to NBA League Pass shows that I think that the NBA’s content should be paid for, but if I can’t pay for it, than I’m just going to watch the game for free on one of these sites.

Love those "Bulls" Jerseys. Nothing like a Hot Dog mid game. Ask Mark Sanchez.
