The way the man went out(with the Bulls)

Jordan Flu game. Maybe the toughest performance in NBA history. 1997 Game 5.

Day three is for the Three Peat! Bulls vs Suns(my fav series of the Bulls six rings). Game 6. I have been watching a lot of this series as of late and something hit me. The Suns never really had a chance. They matched up awful with the Bulls. I mean Thunder Dan covered Jordan most the time and had no right. Grant while not a Barkley stopper could make things hard on him. Our bench was better too. Hell their starting center Mark West played like 10 mins a game.

In game 6 I felt Paul Westphal made some error with putting in Frank Johnson who sucked and had a key TO late in the game. Also Thunder Dan choked and air balled a 10 foot corner shot(the same dude who was hitting from the parking lot all year). I guess God lied to Charles.

I remember when he hit this shot. I ran around the room in my rare at the time white champion Bulls MJ jersey. As Pippen said... Mail doesn't deliver on Sundays.

Bulls vs Cavs 1989 Playoffs. Game 5. It was this shot that started Michael Jordan on super stardom imo.

Michael Jordan goes off for 55 vs the Suns. Game 4 1993 Finals. After watching some of the tape from this series it dawned on me that the Suns never had a chance from day one since they no one on the roster that can even come close to guarding Jordan. The Bulls had that in Horace Grant when matching up with Barkley. He could at least slow Charles down a bit. The Suns had Thunder Dan....

Jordan winner vs the Cavs 1993. The poor poor Cavs. Wilkins was brought in to be the Jordan stopper... Psh!

Bu;lls vs Knicks. 1993 conf finals. Game 5.
Charles Smith BLOCKED! One of the great defensive plays in Bulls Playoff history. The moment was huge as it gave the Bulls a 3-2 advantage going back to the city. The moment even warranted a Jordan jumping fist pump. The Bulls started down the series 0-2. I maybe the only time in NBA history that a team came back from a 0-2 start. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Michael Jordan dunks on Mount Mutombo. 1997 Playoffs Game 5. Jordan hammers one down on Mutombo and waves the finger. It drew a T but was well worth it. Even got Phil out of his seat.

Bill Wennington puts on a 4pt two dunk clinic. I used to love when he would come in and give the Bulls a boost with dunking and hit solid 15 foot jumper. He would surprise the other team with his play. He looked like a dude that was just pulled out of the stands(I say that because he looked like my dad a lot). Than that dude would throw down a nasty alley oop dunk and get the UC rocking. He deserves his playoff day in the sun.

The Bulls vs The Celtics. Game 1 

This was the birth of Derrick Rose really. The nation found out who he was in this game. With 36 points he setting records. Almost like history repeating its self. Jordan was setting records in Boston back in 86. Tyrus Thomas played the game we all wish he would have every night. Even the most hardcore Bulls fans like myself have to put this series in the top 5 series of all time in Bulls history... even with losing it. There I said it.

Dennis Rodman vs Alonzo Mourning. 1997 playoffs. ECF game 4.
This just a nod to Dennis for getting into the hall and being such a huge part of the Bulls playoffs runs. I love how Rodman just lays on him like he can't get up. Its the little things Rodman did that drove people crazy.



Bonus! From the same game. Rodman did the tackle moments after Pippen got killed by Mourning. Gotta hand it to Pippen. Most men would have went to the floor. Pippen was a tough mother.

Michael Jordan dunks on Patrick Ewing. 1991 first round vs the Knicks.

This is maybe the best Jordan dunk ever. He gets his elbow above the rim and brings it down on Ewings head. I think Ewing got dunked on more than any NBA center I have ever seen. I said Pippen's dunk in 94 was maybe the best Dunk in Bulls playoff history. This one might be a bit better. The gross move Jordan makes to even get to the rim deserves something. That might make a good poll. Best Playoff Dunk ever? Pippen's 94 dunk on Ewing or Jordan's 91 dunk on.... Ewing.





NBA 2k11 version anybody?

1991 NBA Conf Finals. Bulls vs Pistons. Game 4. Waaaa you won't shake my hand?

Toni Kukoc game winner in the 94 playoffs. 

Scottie Pippen refuses to go in since the play wasn't drawn up for him. Kukoc hits the game winner. There was a lot of heat towards Kukoc before he even got to Chicago since Jerry Krause pegged Kukoc as someone that could replace Jordan or Pippen. Hell he did everything in his power not to pay Pippen so he could get Kukoc there. So I always got Pippen's sides of it but still no excuse to not go in and let alone in the playoffs. I think Pippen apologized if I remember right. A every interesting dynamic was there with him and Toni.

Ben Gordan's 42 points in the playoffs vs the Celtics. Game 2.

I have never been much of a Ben Gordan fan but he was out of this world in this game. He was the Microwave but in HD. To bad Ben never knew that. Could have been one of the best sixth men in NBA history if he would have learned to embrace that.
